An Armed Home Is Not a Safer Home
A common belief is that guns in the house protect those who live there from crime.
Not so, according to several studies dating back to the 1960s and 1990s that are
supported by more recent work. Guns in the home have been repeatediy linked to an
increased risk for homicide and suicide.
