TEXTO 3
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
U2
One man come in the name of love
One man come and go.
One man come here to justify
One man to overthrow.
Refrain:
In the name of love
What more in the name of love.
In the name of love
What more in the name of love.
One man caught on a barbed wire fence
One man here resist
One man washed up on an empty beach
One man betrayed with a kiss.
Refrain
Early morning, April four
Shot rings out in the Memphis sky.
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride.
Refrain
TEXTO 4
Martin Luther King Jr.
Jan. 15, 1929 to April 4, 1968
“Like anybody, I would
like to live a long life.
Longevity has its place.
But I'm not concerned
about that now. I just
want to do God's will.
And He's allowed me to
go up to the mountain.
And I've looked over. And
I've seen the Promised
Land. I may not get there with you. But I want
you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will
get to the promised land!”
With these words, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. built a crescendo to his final speech on April 3, 1968. The next day, the civil rights leader was shot and killed on a balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tenn.
U2 song can easily be considered:
