Have you ever thought that your grandma might
be more fit than you are? Some studies show that
an active 55-year-old is more fit than a sedentary
35-year-old. “Having youth on your side doesn’t

“Training and exercise can help overcome any age
decrement.” Once we hit age 25, we lose a half
pound of muscle every year (within 20 years, that’s
ten pounds of lost muscle!). And chances are, you’re

the same as it was back in high school, you may not
be nearly as fit — unless you exercise. But there’s an
upside: It’s never too late to get in shape.
